Over the next year, I will be spending a lot of time in either Los Angeles, CA or Washington, DC. If all goes right, I will be relocating to the east coast around this time, next year.
I have always been fascinated with the sense of “home”. My being an adoptee, I’m sure, has a part to play in that. There are very few places that I have been, that have felt like “home”. Ventura, CA and Jeju, Korea are two of those places.
I love Los Angeles. I love many things about it, from the diversity to the overall familiarity I have about it. But, I wouldn’t really categorize it as feeling like “home”.
It will be interesting to see if I can find an area around Washington, DC that will give me that greater feeling of being “home”.
